Following Jesus

Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke [instructions and guidance] upon you and learn from Me [from His example], for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Mt 11:28-29)

Following Jesus is not a burden, but a joy! It’s a joy to tell people about God’s unfailing unending love for them and their loved ones. It is not primarily about doing things for Him, but growing closer to Him day-by-day as we talk with Him and allow His Spirit to transform us more and more into His likeness.

Jesus calls us to a community experience, connecting with others in one way or another, making friends and serving people however He leads us. See our [Connect] page.

Whatever our religious backgrounds might be, past or present, Jesus calls us to love and accept one another in spite of our differences. (Jn 17: 21-23) There is only one body of Christ. (Ep 4:4-6)

Jesus also modeled a life of prayer and communion with our Father that we too, as His children, would follow suit. Nurturing a close relationship with Jesus helps us model Him in a life of love, a life He calls us all to. (Jn 13:34-35)

Reading the New Testament frequently helps us appreciate and remember Jesus’ teachings and those of His Apostles. Our faith is nurtured on God’s promises.

It is important that we not make these activities some kind of ritual we bind ourselves too. Let them be sponteous springing from desire and delight.

We desire to impart these elements of faith to those coming to Christ through our writings and online community efforts.
